The Baby Concert, a new concert series designed for young children

All children are sensitive to the music and rhythm they hear daily from the time of pregnancy. With each new sound they discover, babies marvel or startle and create their world around it. Music education helps them to understand what they hear, to develop listening skills and to concentrate. Music is a wonderful friend for the youngest and toddlers to awaken their curiosity, feed their imagination and enrich their emotions. This is why, at the end of the year, the Orchestre National de Cannes is offering a new series of concerts, the Baby Concert, true 30-minute sensory journeys to the rhythm of soft music for young and old alike.

In order to encourage a gentle musical awakening and to share a moment of discovery with the family, soft and playful works will enliven this first musical experience to develop the cognitive faculties and sensitivity of the little ones. These short concerts during which infants can marvel, play, sleep, gurgle, laugh, cry... will certainly enliven their curiosity and spark their imagination.

For the well-being of the public and children, the Orchestre National de Cannes provides baby changing facilities and prams which are stored under supervision. Visitors are also welcome to come and go.
