Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo's Cherry Blossom Japanese Spring Event
The Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo is celebrating spring Japanese style!
From March 25 to April 10, the Société des Bains de Mer and The Highlife Monaco Foundation are hosting the Cherry Blossom event in the Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo. This event is a chance to experience Japanese springtime traditions, and all for the good cause of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.
The hotel’s patio has been transformed into a Japanese garden where creative and cultural workshops are taking place. Visitors can enjoy Japanese cuisine with culinary workshops by Chef Philippe Joannès and sushi lunches from 11:30-15h every day. You can then have fun making a wish on a traditional Ema or having an O-mikuji fortune reading, plus Kamishibaï storytelling workshops for the children. These activities are open to all the public who are permitted within Covid-19 restrictions to be in Monaco.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation’s ocean preservation work, in particular the ‘Beyond Plastic Med’ initiative which aims to rid the Mediterranean Sea of plastic.
Prince Albert attended the opening ceremony on March 25, where the traditional activities were initiated before being opened up to the public for the remainder of the festival. Mrs. Mayu Wittouck, founder of The High Life Monaco, which, alongside its charity work, builds relation between Monaco and Japon was alsos in attendance as well as Mr. Jean-Luc Biamonti, President of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer.
